The Lauren Rogers Museum of Art will host Betty Krulik in conjunction will the current LRMA exhibition, Civil War Era Drawings from the Becker Collection. Krulik, a specialist in American art, will place the exhibition's drawings into art historical context by speaking about how American artists depicted the Civil War in both documentary and expressive ways. The public is invited to attend.
Krulik, an appraiser on "Antiques Roadshow," was recently nominated for membership in the prestigious Private Art Dealers Association. She is president of both the Appraisers Association of America and of the William Merritt Chase Catalogue Raisonne committee, and serves on the advisory committee for the Thomas Wilmer Dewing Catalogue Raisonne. She has lectured at the Appraisers Association of America, New York University's Continuing and Professional Studies, and for museum and university groups around the nation.
